Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells from obese mice prevent body weight gain and hyperglycemia

Abstract Changes that occur to the stem cell microenvironment with disease are a major consideration may affect behavior and potential therapeutic efficacy of mesenchymal cells (MSCs). The purpose this study is evaluate effects adipose-derived MSCs (ADSCs) from obese mice hyperglycemia on body weight glucose homeostasis. After 10 weeks high-fat diet, were injected phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) ADSCs derived normal (N-ADSCs) or (O-ADSCs), respectively. Mice fed standard rodent chow PBS served as controls. Obese treated O-ADSCs showed less gain than those receiving N - ADSCs. received ADSCs, especially O-ADSCs, also improvement in obesity-related hyperglycemia. In particular, inguinal fat was reduced compared other groups, probably caused by increased lipolysis fat. Moreover, ADSC infusion restored insulin receptor (INSR) expression muscle mice.
